RADIOHEAD, Lotus Flower (from The King of Limbs, 2011)
The long wait is finally over with The King of Limbs - Radiohead’s new album. Continuing their trend of many recent albums - it’s more electronic than rock, but hey, I personally haven’t heard a Radiohead album I didn’t adore. This one is no exception.
Lotus Flower has a weird video of Thom Yorke dancing around - might be a bit of a distraction for those of you who haven’t listened to the album yet. I recommend downloading it and then putting on those headsets to fully enjoy the complexity of its layered sound.
Another favorite (and a rare guitar-based) track is Give Up the Ghost. Haunting and beautiful are two adjectives that pretty much sum it up.
One of the highlights of my musical year, for sure.
